Part Two: PDA (Public Displays of Acceptance)

WEDLOCK Project Artists Officially Married!

Today artists TTBaum and Michael Grohall marked their 9th anniversary as a couple by getting legally married in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at 3:30pm by City Clerk Rosaria Salerno in Boston’s City Hall.

Salerno made it a point to welcome the grooms, make them comfortable and create a space where they could truly feel the importance of the step they were about to take. She was delighted and honored to be part of the preliminary leg of The WEDLOCK Project. Stories were related of other long time couples (50 and 59 years) who had journeyed to the same office to get married and how this step strengthened and changed their relationships for the better.

A short ceremony united the artists as husbands for legal record in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

In attendance as their witnesses were friends Steven Auger and Myles Crowley, Luanne E. Witkowski and Paula Lawrence, and Nathaniel Fink. They were later joined by long time friend of TT’s, Seth Bodie, and Dave Bermingham.

After the civil ceremony the new grooms took to the Rose Kennedy Greenway and Faneuil Hall for photographs before hosting a small dinner for their witnesses and guests at Upstairs on the Square in Cambridge.

So begins The WEDLOCK Project.
